What sort of camera should I get is question I am asked often.

It depends on your technical knowledge. If you don't know what you're doing with a professional camera, you don't need one.

If you have inherited an outdated 'School Camera' it's totally normal for you to just not het along with it.

It's probably ok for the odd sports day, but is likely to be causing you problems with everything else. Maybe the little flash is popping up all the time?

Most people are more comfortable with a phone. An modern iPhone has a phenomenal camera for something of their price point, and I highly recommend that.

Safeguarding is also a consideration. A designated 'School iPhone' is a non-personal device. You can give it to the sports staff when they go on trips or to the Geography Team when they go off on adventures.
